| This album documents the process required to create the main image of this page. The main goal of this exposition is to explain the process that was used to take a series of multiple focal plane images and stack them into this final image. The subject is a blue metalic wasp found on a nature walk at a local park. It is about the size of a grain of rice. It was photographed in ambient light with the photographic equipment taken on the hike on a picnic table at the park. The subject is a good one for this purpose for three reasons. 1) It is of a good size, small enough to require the maximum magnification optics that the photographer has, but large enough to fill most of a frame at that magnification. 2) Being found dead, it could not move during the imaging process. 3) It is photogenic and, in this photographers opinion, worth putting in the effort. The folders below this home folder in some semblance walk one through the process. |
