These were taken during the week prior to Hardrock of 2006. Although there are more than flower photos here the emphasis is on the amazing wildflower season of 2006. Colorado had been enduring a drought which broke just before we arrived. The result was an explosion of color!
All photos were taken hand held with a small point-and-shoot Canon S400. Even as a small "runner's camera" it is a bit out of date now. The trip turned out to be more costly than anticipated. It stimulated two camera upgrades!
